Dangerous Drug:

Advair and Serevent

Over 15 million Americans suffer from asthma, which is an inflammatory disorder of the airways. Many asthma suffers take prescription medications, such as Advair or Serevent, to decrease the frequency of asthma attacks and control symptoms including coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath. Unfortunately, patients taking Advair or Serevent have an increased chance of asthma-related death.

In 2006, Advair and Serevent were issued a black box warning, which is the FDA’s strongest safety alert. The black box warning states the active ingredient salmeterol in these asthma medications increases the risk of asthma-related deaths. In fact, a study showed that 36 Serevent users died from severe asthma attacks or other Serevent side effects.

If your loved one suffered a fatal asthma attack while taking Advair or Serevent, fill out our free case evaluation form. While our Advair lawyers cannot bring back a loved one, we can help ensure the pharmaceutical company is held liable for the side effects of their drugs.
