Brain Injury:

Tearing

Brain tears refer to microscopic breaks in the delicate tissues and nerves of the brain caused by head trauma; this damage to the nerve system can impair bodily function. Unfortunately, tearing of brain tissue is very difficult to detect; x-rays, MRI’s and CAT-scan’s are effective forms of brain injury diagnostic testing for larger areas of damage, but often fail to detect these small tears. An incorrect medical diagnosis may result from the difficulty in detecting tears in the wiring of the brain.
