Traffic Violation:

Wisconsin Traffic Regulations

The Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Code, located in the vehicle section of the state statutes, covers topics such as lemon laws, ignition interlock device programs, motor vehicle inspection and powers of traffic officers. The Code also includes Wisconsin Traffic Laws including distance between vehicles, speed restrictions, reckless and drunk driving, right of way and parking.

Those driving in Wisconsin with a blood alcohol level of .08% or higher are at risk for receiving a operating while intoxicated (OWI) charge. Consequences for a first OWI offense results in fines between $150 and $300; license suspension for six to nine months; a drug and alcohol evaluation; and six points against your license.
