ANDREW S. CABANA represents businesses and executives in state and federal courts in civil litigation and employment-related litigation and before the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also routinely counsels management regarding employment issues including preparation of personnel policies, handbooks, non-competition/non-solicitation agreements, severance agreements, compliance with Title VII, the ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and preventing sexual and other forms of harassment. He has represented parties in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, the Employment Retirement Income Security Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the American with Disabilities Act, the False Claims Act, defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, assault and battery, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, civil conspiracy, and wrongful termination. Mr. Cabana is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a member of the American Bar Association and The Society for Human Resource Management. Mr. Cabana was recently selected by Virginia Super Lawyers as a 2012 Virginia Rising Star.
