Jeep Liberty Ball Joints

In Aug. 2006, Chrysler Group recalled over 800,000 Jeep Liberty SUVs due to a potential loss of steering control. The front suspension lower ball joint may experience extreme wear and looseness, causing the joint and ball to separate. The recall affects all Jeep Liberty SUVs from 2002 to 2006. The defect can cause the vehicle’s font end to drop onto its front tires. Three injuries have been reported.
