Dangerous Drug:

Actonel

Manufactured by Proctor & Gamble, Actonel is prescribed to prevent and treat osteoporosis. Unfortunately, the popular bisphosphone has been linked to a serious bone disease known as Osteonecrosis of the Jaw, or dead jaw. Because the manufacturer did not adequately warn doctors or patients of this serious side effect, Actonel users suffering from dead jaw effect can recover compensation through an Actonel lawsuit.

In addition to treating osteoporosis in post-menopausal women, Actonel is also prescribed to younger women who are undergoing hormone replacement therapy. Women who used Actonel at an earlier age or for longer periods of time are particularly at risk for developing dead jaw. Some common signs of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw include:

  • Pain
  • Loosening of the teeth
  • Swelling or infection of the gums
  • Poorly healing gums
  • Drainage and exposed gums
  • Numbness or a feeling of heaviness in the jaw

If you or a loved one has suffering any of the above symptoms associated with dead jaw after using Actonel, you may be eligible for compensation. Fill out our free case evaluation form to speak with an Actonel attorney
