my payee was changed without my permission is this legal.i belong to and live a program for people with mental illness.my mother was my payee and the place contacted ssa and changed saying the where concerned with my well being.but problem is i have never been found to be incompatant by any court and i have proof i take care of my own checking account and purchase personal items as needed andcan take care of my daily needs to include my meds dr appts an so on i due my own shopping,i even filed my own expungement papers with the court.nothing has changed.also this change takes affect on my sept check
and i will no longer be a part of this program an anyway.i am moving at the end of the month.but how will i pay my rent and live if they are my payee how or can i change my payee to myself and can i do it before the end of ths month of august.please help me or advise me on what i can do.also if what has been done is legal?i do owe the program money and i keep a back pay check i recieved but i bought furniture and clothes and other personal items.does owing them money give them the legal right to change my payee?
