I was served a 3 day pay or quite notice around October 1, 2009. At this time I was unable to pay the full amount requested so I contacted the landlord and asked for more time. We agreed that around October 8, 2009 I would be able to at least make a partial payment to the $2,930 owed or pay this amount in full. On October 8, 2009 I was not able to get any money so I contacted the landlord and he agreed to give me until the 12th of oct. I made a partial payment of $600 on October 14,2009, in the evening after hours. On Oct 15 I received another 3 day pay or quite notice for a new amount which included the $600 payment. Are they allowed to do this? Since they did accept partial payment on that day, can they still serve me with a 3 day pay or quit that same day? Now on 10/22/09 i was served with a unlawful detainer....Please help. thanks
