please could someone tell me how to get my deposit back as a went to see a place and gave them a deposit but decided not to take it as it was too small for myself and my family,upon phoning for the return of my money the person keeps giving me excuses and says they have spent the money what can i do to get my money back this was a week ago.
If no holding deposit agreement was signed, you should be able to get your money back. If the landlord refuses to give you the money back you can take the landlord to small claims court for the deposit plus interest.
