Hi, I recently met a girl at a bar and she offered to give me a ride to get cigarettes so as we were pulling out of the parking lot another car was pulling in and struck her car. There was no injuries just some damage to both cars. I do not know this girl at all nor her backround but she started screaming and yelling at this guy saying she has no insurance it was his fault. Well since seeing this and knowing that my car was just 20 feet away i decided i didnt want to be involved in this so I left with out giving my info to the cops or the other driver. Can I be in any legal trouble for leaving as a passenger?

In most states, the driver of the vehicle is required
to stay at the scene or furnish owner of the other
vehicle contact information. There is no same
requirement with respect to a passenger.

However, there could be other charges depending on the
information given by the driver of the car in which he
was a passenger of.
