on the week of july 24 i had missed work that monday and tuesday i called my district manager and said i would explain in person my absence beforehand he was aware that i did have a working phone & was in the process of getting a new one. On july 24 i was told by my district manager that i was laid off since july 19 because of a no call no show the week prior i asked if i needed to sign anything and he said no HR would call me to see if i would fight for my job or go back to work i told him i didn't understand i thought i was laid off he said they were gonna ask me questions. nobody called. i called & asked him what was going on he said i would just received my last check. i filed for unemployment. now a month later i receive paperwork of job abandonment. while working there for a year i have been told twice i was gonna get fired and then later on told never mind and now this i don't know what to do

Many people appeal unemployment denials because they, like you, feel they were unfairly let go from their job. You can try appealing the decision, but there is no guarantee you will be granted unemployment benefits. If you need further assistance, you should speak with an employment lawyer.
