i was recently suspended due to a safety violation. i supposedly didnt react to a customer that had gotten into a trailer that was in the air. two weeks later, the guys that got me suspended were seen letting another customer do the exact same thing. an took no action to the customer. when mgmnt found out, they took no action to those employees.  is that discrimination to me? is there anything i can do?

Do you think that the reason you were suspended and these other 2 guys weren't has anything to do with your race, religion, national origin, or sex? I think that in order to have a valid claim for discrimination, you have to be treated differently because of one of these protected characteristics. Have there been repeated instances of discriminatory behavior toward you in the past? You would probably have a stronger case if you could show that this was not just a one time incident, but a pattern of behavior by the management. Also, do you have any proof that these 2 guys did the same thing you did with no consequences? Like photographs or something? Otherwise, it will likely be your word against theirs, which may make it difficult to win your case.

I'm not a lawyer, I'm just pointing out some observations I've made based on your post. If you are serious about wanting to pursue a lawsuit, I think you should contact an employment lawyer in your area. He/she will be able to determine whether your rights were violated in this situation
