The Washington Vehicle Code includes motor vehicle laws including rules of the road, vehicle lighting, driver’s licenses, accidents and lemon law. The Code also discusses Washington Traffic Laws, covering topics such as traffic signs and signals, passing, right of way, speed restrictions, driving under the influence and reckless driving.
Washington DUI Law prohibits driving with a blood alcohol level of .08% or higher. Washington enforces the implied consent law which means by having a driver’s license you are agreeing to take a breath or blood test to determine whether drugs or alcohol are in your system. Refusal of a breathalyzer or blood test will revoke your driver’s license for at least one year. Penalties that come along with a DUI conviction include suspension of your license, fines and possible jail time.
