Traffic Violation:

Maryland Traffic Regulations

Maryland vehicle code includes laws regarding vehicle registration, violation of license provisions and traffic regulations. Knowing Maryland traffic laws can be helpful if you are issued a traffic citation.

Under Maryland DUI law, a person can be convicted of a DWI with a .08% blood alcohol level. A first driving while intoxicated charge (DWI) offense causes a license revocation. A driving under the influence (DUI) charge applies to those driving with a blood alcohol level between .04% and .07%. This can result in eight points against your license, a $500 fine and possible jail time.
