A lawyer broke a contract and committed fraud and an unfair trade practice when he failed to pay $5,000 of the price of a fireplace and chimney renovation in his Tolland home, then responded to the contractor’s attempts to collect by demanding $10,000 and accusing the contractor of improprieties.
