Tina Bell

Biographical Information

Tina Bell received her B.A. degree with honors in political science and communications from Eureka College in 1995 and graduated from Indiana University School of Law in 1998 with honors. Her primary area of practice involves the representation of patients wronged by doctors, nurses, dentists, and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation. Tina also has experience in transportation law, general litigation, and commercial litigation. To date, she has tried more than 20 jury trials to verdict.

Tina comes to Stewart & Stewart after having litigated medical malpractice cases for the defense for over a decade. While representing physicians, she was very active in a number of defense-oriented legal organizations including the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Defense Research Institute. She was named the Defense Research Institute Rookie of the Year in 2002. In 2004, Tina was nominated for consideration as the Indiana Bar Association's Young Lawyer of the Year, and in 2007, she was selected by her peers as the DTCI Young Lawyer of the Year for the State of Indiana. In 2008, Tina was honored as one of Northeast Indiana's Future 40.

Tina has been a guest lecturer on the subject of medical malpractice for medical students and physician assistants at numerous universities. She has also been a guest lecturer for Grand Rounds at various hospitals.

With her busy schedule Tina still finds time to be a wife, mother of two, and an ardent volunteer. She has volunteered with the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana, Inc., was a lower grade school volunteer for Junior Achievement, and was a high school volunteer on Law Day. For several years she also chaired the Board of Trustee's for Covenant United Methodist Church.
