SOUTH SIDE SETTLEMENT HOUSE IN FINANCIAL CRISIS

The South Side Settlement House is laying off its executive director and cutting programs for poor residents while asking other agencies to handle its administrative chores."We are not closing," said Kathleen Gmeiner, treasurer for the settlement house's board.
