Shawn P Hooks

Biographical Information

Shawn was born in Findlay, Ohio. He was a member of St. Michael Parish and graduated from Findlay High School. He attended Miami University where he obtained a degree in History. While there he was active in campus life. He was a member of the school's senate, active in Pi Kappa Phi, served as a Resident Assistant, and participated in the school's music program.

After graduating he attended University of Dayton for law school. He was a member of the school's Moot Court and Mock Trial teams. He also won awards for his participation in Mock Trial, Moot Court, and his studies in Civil Trial Practice and Basic Real Estate Transactions. During school he worked as a law clerk in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.

Since graduating Shawn has focused on litigatio. He has tried numerous cases; criminal, civil litigation, personal injury, business litigation and family law in both State and Federal Courts. He has appeared successfully before the Ohio Supreme Court, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Ohio Second District Court of Appeals.

When not at work he is active in the South Park Historic District in Dayton, Ohio, where he resides. He still participates in local theater, where he has won multiple awards for his acting and directing. He enjoys sports (hockey being his favorite) and enjoys cooking.
