Sean DuBois

Biographical Information

Sean DuBois' attraction to the legal field began in high school, where he was successful in competitive debate. After attending college on a debate scholarship, Sean decided to explore his options before committing to the study of law. But his experiences, especially his position as a research diver at Florida's Atlantic University Department of Ocean Engineering, allowed him to see up close the consequences of corporate greed. He returned to his studies, at Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland.

During law school, Sean went to work for some of the best personal injury attorneys in Oregon, allowing him to see firsthand how the best firms in Portland handle settlements, trials, and client care. Following admittance to the Oregon Bar in 2006, Sean formed his own practice, DuBois Law Office. While volunteering for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), he met Josh Shulman, a local personal injury attorney with a similar passion for representing deserving individuals fighting for justice and the two joined forces to form Shulman DuBois LLC in 2008.

Sean is a dedicated and active member of the American Association for Justice, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a Guardian of Justice member. He has been published in Trial Lawyer magazine, and has been named an Oregon Rising Star by SuperLawyers magazine three years in a row. Sean is married and has two children.
