Scott A. Parsons has actively practiced as a civil trial attorney since 1985. From 1984 to 1985 he served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Edward J. Toy and the Honorable Richard P. Muscatello in the Civil Division of the Union County Superior Court.

Mr. Parsons began working in private practice with the law firm of Bumgardner, Hardin & Ellis, where he concentrated on medical malpractice and products liability litigation from 1985 to 1990. Thereafter, he became a partner at Mortenson & Pomeroy, and continued practicing civil litigation with that firm from 1990 to 1997. In 1997, Mr. Parsons co-founded the firm Parsons & Powell, L.L.C. (now Parsons, Powell & Lane, L.L.C.), where he continues to litigate complex personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, and significant automobile and products liability matters.

In 1999 Mr. Parsons was certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. He has also been rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, and has received a number of awards for his service to the community, including:

· Service to the Community Award (1991)
· Young Lawyer Achievement Award (1993)
· Association Award for Meritorious Service to the Public (1987-1990)

Mr. Parsons has been a member of the Outstanding Lawyers of America since 2002, and often lectures on Trial Advocacy for NJ ICLE (New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education) and ATLA (American Trial Lawyers Association).
