Scott William Hyder

Biographical Information

Scott W. Hyder graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in 1992, and then with a J.D. in 1996 from the Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law at ASU. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1996. He practices law in Real Estate, Bankruptcy, Commercial Transactions, and Estate Planning.

Scott has been a sole practitioner attorney over the last five years. He previously worked at the law firm of Fennemore Craig representing commercial real estate developers and homebuilders in a variety of transactional matters. He also was in-house counsel for homebuilder D.R. Horton.

Scott holds memberships in the State Bar of Arizona (Real Property and Bankruptcy Sections) and the Maricopa County Bar Asociation. He regularly volunteers his time at the Bankruptcy Court's Self-Help Center assisting pro se debtors filing bankruptcy. He also assists pro se debors with bankruptcy hearings in front of several bankruptcy judges. He was recently selected to be part of the prestigious Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court.

Scott is a frequent lecturer at the Arizona School of Real Estate and other seminars around town, speaking on issues related to bankruptcy, real estate, foreclosure, short sales and commercial transactions. He also contributes articles to the Arizona Republic, the East Valley Tribune and other publications.
