MONTREAL (Mar 21, 2009) -- Victims of last year's deadly listeriosis outbreak may soon be able to apply for compensation from Maple Leaf Foods now that the last class-action lawsuit against the company has been heard. Quebec Superior Court Justice Martin Castonguay said yesterday he will announce quickly whether he accepts the negotiated settlement which was signed in December 2008.
