PHARMACEUTICAL SETTLEMENT REACHED

Kentucky has reached a $10.2 million settlement with pharmaceutical manufacturers Alpharma USPD Inc. and Purepac Pharmaceutical Co. in a case brought by the attorney general's office. Attorney General Jack Conway said Wednesday the case involved allegations that the companies claimed inflated average wholesale prices for their drugs.
