OTTAWA TO APPEAL VERDICT IN WRONGFUL CONVICTION CASE OF QUEBEC MAN

The battle is not over for Réjean Hinse. On Monday, the Attorney General of Canada launched an appeal to the Superior Court of Quebec verdict handed down April 13 that ordered the federal government to pay the Laval man $8.6 million in compensatory and punitive damages for his wrongful conviction and imprisonment 50 years ago.
