Biographical Information

Nyanza Shaw, Esq., is principal and founder of Shaw Esquire & Associates, a boutique law firm located in Los Angeles, California. The firm represents individual and business clients in the entertainment industry as well as small business and corporate clients. We have over 14 years of experience in transactional entertainment and business law and focus on providing superior, yet affordable, legal services. The firm provides business clients with advice related to entity formation, financing and investment, branding and marketing, operation and dissolution. We also provide a wide array of entertainment transactional law services related to the music, film, TV, and multimedia industries, including copyright and trademark protection, distribution, licensing, financing, production, touring, branding and endorsement, sponsorship, merchandising, publishing, and more.

Nyanza received her B.A. in History from Mills College and her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law. She currently serves on the Boards of the BWEL Foundation and the John M. Langston Bar Association. She is also a member of California State Bar, The Recording Academy, ABA, and LA County Bar Association.
