Michael Bond

Biographical Information

I focus my practice on the areas of estate planning, probate, residential real estate (including co-ops and condos), and contract review and negotiation. I am admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

I am a member of several bar associations, and serve on the New York County Lawyers' Association's Estates & Trusts committee and its LGBT Issues committee, among others (see sidebar). I also volunteer my time to provide free estate planning to low income members of the LGBT community through a program co-sponsored by the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Law Association of Greater New York (LeGaL).

I graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law. While at Seton Hall, I was awarded the Raymond Del Tufo, Jr. Constitutional Law Award and the Charles H. Revson Law Student Public Interest Fellowship. I also served on the Circuit Review journal. In addition, I interned with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Federal Public Defender, and the Honorable Michael A. Shipp of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to embarking on a career in law, I worked for several years in the publishing world and for a number of nonprofit organizations.

When I'm not working hard for my clients, I enjoy volunteering for NY Cares, kayaking, snorkeling, and writing fiction.
