Biographical Information

Megan Foley is a counselor at law concentrating her practice in family law and children's issues as a Guardian ad Litem Ms. Foley has practiced in this area for over 12 years, and has also worked in the legislature, insurance customer service, coffee houses, schools, daycares, restaurants, political campaigns, computer labs, and one memorable summer as a lifeguard. For the past four years, Ms. Foley has lectured at the OSBA New Lawyer Training program on the topic of Family Law. She has recently attended the Wrightslaw training and is now serving families of special needs children in negotiating the special education system.

Ms. Foley earned her music education degree from CaseWestern ReserveUniversity, obtained emergency teacher certification with Teach For America, and earned her law degree and general mediation certification from The Ohio State University College of Law. She has a strong background in child development, and promotes a "child first" ethic in her practice, community service, and life in general. When not practicing law, Megan spends a lot of her time with her family, coaching soccer and baseball for her two sons, volunteering at her sons' school library and in their classrooms, and reading and talking about books with people of all ages.
