Biographical InformationMatthew M. Boley is a shareholder with the law firm Parsons Kinghorn Harris. His practice concentrates in the areas of bankruptcy, real estate, commercial/civil litigation and creditors’ rights. Mr. Boley is experienced in all aspects of bankruptcy law, having successfully represented chapter 11 debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditors and bankruptcy trustees. He has commercial litigation experience in many substantive areas, including real estate disputes, contract disputes, lien and lien priority disputes, business torts, professional negligence, lender liability, the Uniform Commercial Code and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Boley has extensive experience in all areas of creditors’ rights and debtor-creditor relations, including workouts and debt restructurings, collection litigation and foreclosures, receiverships and bankruptcy. Finally, Mr. Boley strives to employ creative problem solving and a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to the delivery of legal services. Mr. Boley is a past Chair and an active member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Utah State Bar. Mr. Boley also is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyers Forum. Mr. Boley is active in the American Inns of Court. Mr. Boley received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Westminster College and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah, College of Law, where he graduated with honors. Mr. Boley has been the recipient of several honors and recognitions. Among others, Utah Business Magazine has recognized him as a member of the Utah Legal Elite™ 2006 through 2010. Likewise, Super Lawyers magazine recognized Mr. Boley as a Mountain States Rising Star™ 2008 through 2010. Finally, Mr. Boley received awards for pro bono service from the Utah State Bar and Utah Legal Services.Mr. Boley graduated Order of the Coif, or in the top ten of his law school class (1999). He served as a Note & Comment Editor on the Utah Law Review (1998-1999). He served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable J. Thomas Greene, U.S. District Court, District of Utah (2000).
