Biographical Information

Born in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis and raised on the East side of Providence during the height of the Cold War. While growing-up in a predominantly blue collar part of town, learned at a very young age the realities of prejudism, racism and class warfare. Having been raised by a single parent, Mom, and being the youngest of three (with an older brother and an older sister) I was always getting picked-on or singled-out. I attended all catholic and parochial schools and was usually the only "jewish kid" in my class. Learned early-on the importance of studying ultimately leading me to a career choice in the law. Attended LaSalle Academy and the Lawrenceville School for high school. Went on to Boston University to major in History and Hockey. Graduated with a B.A. which turned out to be B.S. (Bull Shit). Next attended the University of Miami School of Law and upon graduation worked for the State of Rhode Island as a legilative attorney and maintained a private practice. Now, almost 20 years later, I still maintain a law office in Providence however, I have expanded my practice into South Florida and I have purchased a newspaper called the Federal Hill Gazette. As owner, publisher and editor of this monthly publication while also maintaining two individual law practices, I am quite busy these days. However, I also find the time to enjoy the wonderful lifestyle South Florida has to offer. And while traveling back and forth to Boca and Providence gets monotonous, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my family, especially my 12 year old son and my godson, a junior at FAU and I'm blessed with much good fortune which I do not take for granted. I love life.
