LAWYER EVICTED FOR HEAD SCARF

MADRID - A SPANISH judicial oversight board has received a complaint from a Muslim lawyer who says she was expelled from court for wearing a head scarf. The General Council of the Judiciary, which supervises the Spanish court system, says it has opened a preliminary probe of the complaint from attorney Zoubida Barik Edidi, a Moroccan-born Spaniard.
