He has served on the board of directors of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Eastern Virginia and on the advisory board for the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia. Mr. Maddox serves as chairman for the 2011 Norfolk NATO Festival and on the boards of directors for the Chesapeake Law Library and the UVa Club of Tidewater. Mr. Maddox is also active in the CLE Committee and Membership Committee for the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association and in the Nominating Committee and Executive Committee for the South Hampton Roads Bar Association.
