LAWYER IN BRIBE CASE SENTENCED TO PRISON, FINED

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- A lawyer was sentenced to four years inprison and fined RM235,000 at the Sessions Court today after he was found guiltyof asking for and receiving a bribe from his client. Ranjit Singh, 57, had obtained the money from his client, Dr Chong KuckMeng, 46, on the pretense of bribing the police to close the file on a blackmailcase involving the doctor six years ago ...
