Kimberly Ann DeCarrera

Biographical Information

Kimberly DeCarrera was born in Texas, but has called Atlanta home since a young age. After high school in the Atlanta area, she attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where she completed her undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Management in three years.

Following graduation from Georgia Tech, she attended the Georgia State University College of Law earning her Juris Doctor. While in law school, she clerked for G. Roger Land, a local Atlanta attorney who maintains a general civil practice.

Ms. DeCarrera is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Georgia and the United States District Court, Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.

Currently, Ms. DeCarrera is attending the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University to complete a Master's of Taxation and attain her Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license while maintaining a full-time law practice, DeCarrera Law, LLC, that focuses on small businesses, owners and key employees, wills and estates, and other general civil litigation. Ms. DeCarrera is also the managing partner of DeCarrera Business Consulting, LLC, which consults with small business to leverage the business's professional knowledge with the business knowledge of her firm.

Ms. DeCarrera is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Women's Lawyers. Ms. DeCarrera recently became a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Association of Legal Administrators. Ms. DeCarrera is also a founding sponsor of the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce and has recently served on its committee to review the new business occupation license and tax ordinance. She also participates in the Georgia Tech Business Network and is the volunteer and social media coordinator for the North Metro Georgia Tech Alumni Club.
