Karen L. Goldstein

Biographical Information

Ms. Goldstein passionately fights for her clients' rights which is best exemplified by her outstanding case successes in and out of the courtroom. She focuses her law practice exclusively in state and federal criminal defense and handles each of her cases with persistence, passion, and principles. She is an aggressive advocate who believes in meticulous case preparation in order to provide the most zealous defense for her clients.

Ms. Goldstein has extensive knowledge, skill, and experience in all types of state and federal criminal cases ranging from simple drug possession, to DUI, child molestation, and murder. Unlike other larger criminal defense law firms, Ms. Goldstein is emotionally invested in each and every one of her cases, and gives her clients individual, personalized attention. Ms. Goldstein handles all cases herself and fights to win each and every time.

Ms. Goldstein obtained her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center where she graduated cum laude. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

While at Georgetown Law, Ms. Goldstein worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C. in the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Unit. Ms. Goldstein also represented victims of domestic violence in D.C. Superior Court through Georgetown Law's Domestic Violence Clinic.

Ms. Goldstein is a member of the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia. She has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, as well as the Federal District Courts for the Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California.

Ms. Goldstein is conversational in French and Spanish and is currently studying Japanese.
