JURY DECIDES WHO PAYS IN FOUL WATER SUIT

A San Diego Superior Court jury has determined that the Otay Water District and developer The Eastlake Company bore the bulk of responsibility for a mix-up that allowed treated sewage to flow from drinking water taps at a Chula Vista business park in 2007. The panel had already awarded the plaintiffs - store owners Amy Wise and Angela Mason and their families - more than $1.1 million in damages.
