JURY CONVICTS QUIROZ OF SECOND-DEGREE MURDER IN SONS DEATH

A Fresno County Superior Court jury Monday convicted former Marine Robert Quiroz of second-degree murder in the death of his 3-month-old son, Roman, five years ago. A jury of eight women and four men delivered their verdict of second-degree murder and assault on a child causing death. The jury also found Quiroz guilty of fracturing his son's ribs, but acquitted him of breaking the boy's arm.
