JURY CLEARS WAL-MART OF WRONGDOING

A jury decided Friday that Wal-Mart was in the clear when it came to claims one of the company's Gainesville stores negligently hired a teenager who had a violent juvenile criminal history and who later attacked a woman in the store's parking lot, slashing her throat.
