JURY AWARDS $18M IN SUIT VS. WABTEC

A jury on Tuesday awarded $18.1 million to companies that had brought suit against Wilmerding-based Wabtec Corp. Wabtec will record a charge in the second quarter equal to the amount of the $18.1 million award, which was not included in previous earnings guidance. The origin of Tuesday's court ruling dates to 1993 when Wabtec and SAB WABCO signed a product license agreement.
