JUDGE APPROVES SANTANDERS MADOFF SETTLEMENT

A federal bankruptcy judge on Tuesday approved a legal settlement requiring a unit of Banco Santander of Spain, which fed $3 billion of its clients’ money to Bernard L. Madoff before his vast Ponzi scheme was exposed, to pay $235 million for potential legal claim.
