John P. McNeil is the founder of McNeil Law Firm, PLLC. A graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2001, Mr. McNeil has considerable experience in litigation, non-litigation and mediation surrounding all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, alimony, post-separation support, equitable distribution, alienation of affection, domestic violence, property distribution, and other complex legal matters.

Mr. McNeil is a NCDRC Certified Mediator for Family Financial Settlement Mediation.

Military Service:
As an "Army Brat," John had the opportunity to live and travel throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. John joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1986, volunteered to be a Scout in the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Mr. McNeil received numerous service awards and medals, achieving the rank of Sergeant and led Marines in the Panama Invasion, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He has traveled to five continents and throughout the Mediterranean, traversed the Suez Canal, and trekked through the Arctic Circle. Still a dedicated veteran, John has been active in supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Rolling Thunder©.
