Jeffrey W. Price

Biographical Information

Jeffrey W. Price serves as special counsel with Bradley Murchison in the Shreveport, Louisiana office. His practice includes local, state, and federal utility regulation (including representation of gas pipeline and electric utilities before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission); contract negotiation and administration; business litigation; energy, oil & gas; public utility law. Mr. Price is also a licensed patent attorney and provides all manner legal services for intellectual property matters.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in the industrial engineering, cum laude, from Louisiana Tech University and a Juris Doctor, with honors, from William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas. He is licensed to practice in Arkansas, Louisiana and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining Bradley Murchison, Mr. Price worked for a multi-state electric utility company and a regional transmission organization in various positions including operations engineering, planning engineering, and state/federal regulatory affairs before joining a Washington D.C. practice that specialized in state and federal energy matters. During this time, Mr. Price represented electric utilities and gas pipelines in all areas of state and federal regulation including pursuing or challenging modifications to open access transmission tariffs, assisting utilities with reliability standards compliance, and commenting and challenging various proposed and final rules issued by state and federal agencies. Mr. Price also has represented various clients in the negotiation and review of power purchase agreements, transmission interconnection proposals, and other utility-related agreements.
