Biographical Information

James J. La Rocca represents employers in labor and employment matters. He defends cases involving allegations of workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage/hour violations. Additionally, he counsels employers facing union issues. James advises human resources professionals and in-house attorneys on workplace policies and procedures as well, and trains their managers in an effort to increase employee productivity and minimize workplace problems. James has published numerous articles and spoken extensively about key developments in the field.

Prior to working at Gibbons P.C., James was an Associate in Proskauer Rose LLP's labor and employment department. Before becoming an attorney, he interned with the Honorable Eugene H. Austin, J.S.C., the National Football League Human Resource Department, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the City of New York Administration for Children's Services Employment Law Unit.
