James J Kelleher

Biographical Information

Jim was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his undergraduate education at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York and attended the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate degree Cum Laude in 1983. Upon his relocation to Florida, he met John Morgan while the law firm was still in its infancy. As a result of the firm's rapid growth, Mr. Morgan appointed Jim the Managing Partner of the firm's new office in Southwest Florida in 2002. Under his guidance, the office grew to become one of the most successful in the firm. As the unprecedented growth continued, Jim again relocated to Atlanta, Ga. in 2007 where he has established yet another successful Morgan and Morgan office. Jim is currently the Managing Partner for the State of Georgia and serves on the firm's Executive Committee.

Since his initial admission to the practice of law in 1984, Jim has been a trial lawyer. He has tried every type of personal injury case to verdict including auto accidents, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice suits, premises liability cases and complex insurance claims. He has numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.

Mr. Kelleher has also been honored with the prestigious AV® Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the preeminent national publication in the legal field. According to Martindale-Hubbell, "An AV rating is a significant accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years or more to receive an AV rating. This rating is based upon evaluations by other lawyers and is the highest ranking attainable by an attorney for ability and ethics in the practice of law. It is a distinction reserved for a select few in the legal community."

He currently resides in Roswell, Ga. with his wife Susan and their 4 children, all of whom remain devoted Buffalo Bills fans.
