Represented the NTSB in connection with its assistance to NASA during the investigation of the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster. Has testified as an expert on the shortcomings in Federal Aviation Administration management of aviation safety before the U.S. Senate Aviation Subcommittee. Licensed Private Investigator, New York, 1989. Reporter and Editor: The Record, Hackensack, New Jersey; The Morning Call, Paterson, New Jersey. Director of Communications, Consumer Union, Nonprofit Publisher of Consumer Reports Magazine. Public Information Officer and Deputy Director, Federal Trade Commission, Washington, D.C. Worked on scene as a reporter from Lockerbie, Scotland, scene of the tragic Pan Am explosion, from the Long Island site of the crash of the Avianca aircraft that ran out of fuel on its way to JFK International, at the Sioux City, Iowa DC-10 crash site and at a US Air collision in Los Angeles at New York's LaGuardia Airport. Special consultant for CBS News in connection with the mid-air fuel tank explosion of TWA Flight 800. Assisted in the SwissAir, Egyptair and American Airlines Little Rock lawsuits.
