FOUR FOOTBALL REFEREES REACH SETTLEMENT IN AGEISM CASE

A professional referee has accepted an out-of-court settlement after claiming he was discriminated against because of his age. Tameside-based Roger Dilkes, 62, was one of four officials who sued Professional Game Match Officials, the body which selects referees for all professional matches in England, and the firm's manager, ex-ref Mike Riley.
