Employment Law Employment Law includes all aspects of the employer-employee relationship. The Law Offices of Diamond Z. We also review employment agreements and severance packages to ensure that workers' rights will not be compromised for the sake of corporate profit and interest. Our goal is to provide employees with effective legal representation and to protect their right to an unbiased work place and just compensation. * Unemployment Compensation Unemployment insurance provides workers, whose jobs have been terminated through no fault of their own, monetary payments for a given period of time or until they find a new job. The Indiana Department of Workforce Development regulates unemployment payments in our state. The Law Offices of Diamond Z. Hirschauer represents discharged employees at IDWD hearings and presents the employee's case to the Adminstrative Law Judge to ensure that the unemployed worker continues to receive compensation until they can find a new job, equivalent to the one they lost, without financial distress. * Family Law The Law Offices of Diamond Z. Hirschauer represents clients in matters dealing with marriage, divorce, separation, child custody and visitation, child support, etc. These types of cases fall under the jurisdiction of state and local courts. Indiana has a “no fault” divorce provision which means that no guilt will be assigned to either party for the breakdown of the marriage. There is also a presumption that the property and debts of the marriage will be divided equally. However, the Court may award one spouse more than another, if there is good reason to do so. Our attorneys represent clients in these matters to ensure that their interests and property are protected, and that the best interests of the child are always placed at the forefront of any litigation. We also facilitate out of Court negotiations and settlements, so that the matter may be resolved in the most expedient and efficient manner. * Social Security Disability The Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income programs are the largest of several Federal programs that provide assistance to people with disabilities. These two programs are different in many ways. Social Security Disability Insurance pays benefits to the disabled individuals and certain members of their family (i.e. dependents) if they have worked long enough and paid Social Security taxes. Supplement Security Income pays benefits to disabled individuals based on their financial needs. The Law Office of Diamond Z.
