Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputy Joseph Boomer is cleared to return to work, Winnebago County Sheriff Dick Meyers said this morning. Meyers said he already has spoken to the Illinois Law Enforcement and Training Standards Board and notified them of the outcome of Boomer’s trial for reckless homicide and aggravated reckless driving, which concluded Monday night with a not-guilty verdict. ...
