Biographical InformationA lifelong central Pennsylvania resident and a former Navy Judge Advocate, Special Assistant United States Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney, Dennis Boyle has extensive experience in all facets of criminal and civil litigation. Dennis Boyle is certified as a Criminal Law Specialist with the National Board of Trial Advocacy and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has tried criminal cases and civil cases throughout the United States and has represented service members worldwide in both criminal and civil matters. He has personally tried more than 150 jury trials. He is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, The U. S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, the District of Columbia Circuits, the U.S. Supreme Court and the International Criminal Court located in the Hague, Netherlands. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1987, and a Bachelor of Arts from Elizabethtown College in 1983. He has recently completed the requirements for a Master of Law in International Law from George Washington University. After graduating from law school, he entered the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps and graduated from Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island. Deployed to the Middle East during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, he served as both a prosecutor and defense attorney in several high profile cases. He recently retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve with the rank of Commander. His last assignment in the Naval Reserve was as a Court Commissioner with the Navy Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals. When he's not practicing law, Dennis enjoys scuba diving and mountain climbing as well as family time with his wife and two children. |
