Mr. Schwartz recently represented a client who sustained injury to his hip and pelvis after a head-on car accident in Dover, Delaware. The client's injuries are permanent and required a major surgical operation. The case settled prior to trial for $475,000.00.

Mr. Schwartz was retained by another attorney to try a complicated personal injury case involving underinsured motorist coverage. Prior to Mr. Schwartz being retained, the matter had come up for trial and the defense settlement offer was in the mid five-figures. Once Mr. Schwartz was retained, he re-deposed the defense witnesses, and settled the case for $300,000.00 at pretrial mediation.

Mr. Schwartz represented Robbin Vann, Chief of Police of Town of Cheswold, Delaware. Chief Vann was suspended, terminated and libeled by the Mayor and Town Manager of the Town of Cheswold as a result of his "whistleblowing" activities, which included reporting the Mayor and Town Manager to the Delaware State Police and Delaware Department of Justice for ciminal activity. After a jury trial in the state Superior Court, a twelve person jury returned an unanimous verdict in favor of Chief Vann in the total amount of $289.001.00. The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the verdict on appeal.

Mr. Schwartz was retained to try the case of a gentleman who was falsely and mistakenly accused of selling drugs in hand-to-hand transactions to an undercover police officer on four separate occasions. The four cocaine delivery charges would have resulted in a lifetime prison sentence if the client was convicted. After a twelve-person jury heard all the evidence, including the admissions of the accusing police officer that the transactions could have been video and audio recorded but were not, the jury found the gentleman Not Guilty of all charges.
