Annette M Cox

Biographical Information

Annette attended Arizona State University, Walter Cronkite School of Telecommunications  and earned her Bachelor's in Broadcasting.  During her undergraduate studies, she interned at KNXV-TV and CNN in Washington, DC.  Annette graduated Summa cum Laude in 1998. 

After working in the TV news field as a producer, she returned to ASU to study law, where she was a member of the Women's Law Student Association, the Diversity Committee of the Maricopa County Bar Association, and externed for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office - Appellate Division and the Hon. John Gemmill, Division One Appellate Court.  Annette graduated in 2004.
 
Annette began her practice in the criminal defense and juvenile law areas, acting as both defense counsel and Guardian ad Litem.  She served as court-appointed counsel on numerous delinquency and dependency actions, by holding the Special Advocacy and Dependency contracts with Pinal County (2005-2007) and Maricopa County  (2006-2009).  Annette has since broadened her interest in working with children by handling family law matters.  Annette has served as Court Advisor in contested custody matters.   She also is familiar with resolving disputes via settlement or litigation.  She has litigated such matters as  Spousal Maintenance, Contempt of Court, Child Support, Community Property and Business Valuations, and Relocation.
